Copper futures gain on higher spot demand

New Delhi, Sep 11 (PTI) Copper prices on Wednesday rose 0.83 per cent to Rs 800.50 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in October traded higher Rs 6.60 or 0.83 per cent at Rs 800.50 per kg in a business turnover of 1,647 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
