Copper futures gain on higher spot demand

New Delhi, Sep 24 (PTI) Copper prices on Tuesday rose Rs 12.70 to Rs 833.50 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in October traded higher Rs 12.70 or 1.55 per cent at Rs 833.50 per kg in a business turnover of 7,772 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
