Crackdown on hate speech: Reasi Police warns of strict action against objectionable social media content
The Reasi Police in Jammu and Kashmir have issued a strong warning against the posting of objectionable content on social media platforms, vowing strict action against violators.
SSP Reasi, Amit Gupta-JKPS, urged the public to refrain from sharing any content that could disturb the peace and harmony in the district.
The police assert that all social media platforms are under their watch, and all posts and comments will be closely monitored. Any content deemed provocative or aimed at spreading hatred will face legal consequences.

This initiative comes in the wake of an FIR (First Information Report) registered against an individual identified as FIR no.- 04/2024 for posting objectionable content online.
SSP Gupta emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and harmony in the district, highlighting the detrimental impact of harmful online content. He appealed to the community to use social media responsibly and avoid sharing offensive or inciteful material.
