Crackdown on illegal mining: Five vehicles seized by police in rural Jammu
In a significant move to curb illegal mining activities, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) seized five vehicles involved in unauthorized mining operations in the rural areas of Jammu district.
This crackdown is part of an ongoing effort to combat the environmental degradation caused by illicit mining practices.

The operation took place early Saturday morning when JKP personnel, acting on a tip-off, conducted a surprise raid in the rural zones known for illegal mining activities.
The officers detained the vehicles, which were found to be transporting minerals without proper documentation.
Following the seizure, the District Mining Officer was promptly informed to initiate the necessary legal actions against the offenders.
