Crackdown on narcotics: Bandipora police apprehend drug peddler, seize contraband substance

In a crackdown on illegal drug activity, the Bandipora Police arrested a suspected drug peddler in Paribal Hajin. The arrest comes amidst ongoing efforts by authorities to curb the sale and distribution of narcotics in the region.

The arrest was made during a routine patrol by a police party from Hajin police station. The officers stopped the suspect at a checkpoint established. During a search, police recovered Charas, a narcotic substance, from his possession.

The arrested individual is currently in police custody at Hajin Police Station.

A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Hajin police station. Further investigations are underway.
