Crude oil futures decline on low demand

New Delhi, Aug 17 (PTI) Crude oil futures on Thursday declined by 0.21 per cent to Rs 6,632 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for August delivery fell by Rs 14 or 0.21 per cent to Rs 6,632 per barrel with a business volume of 3,843 lots.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.50 per cent higher at USD 79.78 per barrel, and Brent crude was up 0.53 per cent at USD 83.89 per barrel in New York.
