CUJ celebrates 13th Foundation Day
SAMBA, Aug 09: Central University of Jammu (CUJ) under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain celebrated its 13th Foundation Day by recognizing the contributions of Scientists, faculty, staff and students in their respective fields.
On the occasion Prof. Jain congratulated the CUJ fraternity on completing thirteen generous years in the field of Education and Research. He called upon the students, staff and faculty to rededicate their commitment to service for oneness – one vision, one direction. He expressed his hope that by working together as a team, the University can be taken to greater heights with hard work and a sense of belongingness.
Prof. Devanand delivered a foundation day lecture and expressed his gratitude towards Vice Chancellor Prof. Jain. He said that the University turns 13 year old now and in this shorter span of time it has witnessed rapid pace of growth in terms of infrastructure, academics and students achievements due to able leadership of the Vice Chancellor, hardworking faculty, dedicated staff, meritorious students, motivated research scholars and caring alumni. He said, under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Jain, Central University of Jammu accomplished greater heights.
Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar Central University of Jammu presented a formal welcome address on the occasion. He said that the ultimate aim of education is to become wiser and wiser and to become relevant in fast changing scenarios and relevant in every aspect of human indulgence.
Prof. Vandana Sharma, HoD English, highlighted the significance of the Foundation Day during her address.
Prof. Deepak Pathania, Dean Research studies also expressed their views about the functioning of the university. The Impressive program was largely attended by faculty, staff members and students of the university.
