CUJ Organizes Online Session for B-Tech to MS in USA

Jammu, 08^th May 2024: A special session titled “An Inspiring Journey from B.Tech. to M.S. in the USA” was held online at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (DoECE), Central University of Jammu under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Jain. Mr. Omkeshwar Shukla, currently based in Qualcomm USA, served as the special speaker for the event.

During the session, Mr. Shukla shared invaluable insights about his journey from completing his B.Tech. in India to pursuing an M.S. in the USA. He emphasized six pivotal pillars essential for this transition: CGPA, work experience, guidance from professors/mentors, purpose of statement (POS), important exams such as GRE/IELTS/TOEFL, expenses and loan requirements, and letters of recommendation (LOR) from professors. By elaborating on the significance of each pillar, he provided valuable advice and guidance to students for their academic and professional pursuits.

The event was attended by students and faculty members of the department of ECE at the Central University of Jammu, in the presence of Prof. Rakesh Kumar Jha HoD, ECE.  Prof. Jha played a dynamic role in organizing and facilitating the event, ensuring its smooth execution.
