Cultinno, CII jointly organizes pitch party at NIT Srinagar
SRINAGAR, July 10: The Cultinno, an Innovation platform, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a successful pitch party at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar where students showcased their entrepreneurial prowess and presented their ground-breaking start-up ideas.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately a dozen registrations, highlighting the growing entrepreneurial spirit among the student community in the Institute.
The pitch party served as a platform for aspiring student entrepreneurs to pitch their innovative ideas before a panel of distinguished investors. Following a rigorous selection process, a select few were shortlisted to present their concepts to these esteemed investors on a subsequent day.
The Cultinno Pitch Party was an integral part of the 3rd International Conference on Contemporary Business Trends at NIT Srinagar. Representatives from CultInno, CII, and NIT Srinagar also shared their thoughts on the successful Pitch Party.
In his message, Registrar NIT Srinagar, Prof. Syed Kaiser Bukhari said these sessions are the need of the hour and are designed to support and highlight student entrepreneurship.
“These competitions assess not only the feasibility and innovation of the idea but also the participants’ ability to articulate their vision and strategy,” Prof. Bukhari said.
On the occasion, Dr. Rahul Mirchandani, Co-founder, CultInno said this pitch party showcased the exceptional talent and innovative thinking present within the student community.
“We are thrilled to witness the enthusiasm and passion displayed by the participants, and we are committed to supporting them on their entrepreneurial journey,” he said.
Head CII Srinagar, Mr. Khurshid Dar said that CII has always believed in nurturing the entrepreneurial ecosystem and providing young minds with opportunities to flourish.
“The overwhelming response to the Pitch Party is a testament to the entrepreneurial potential that exists in our academic institutions. We are excited to see these ideas take shape and contribute to India’s startup ecosystem,” he said.
Co-founder, CultInno, Mr. Laeeq Ali said this year’s Pitch party had each identified excellent market opportunities. They worked on the constructive jury feedback and brilliantly refined their pitches to the Angel investors, showing their hunger to learn and build their startups, he said.

Both Cultinno and CII Jammu & Kashmir are already planning a much larger edition of the CultInno Pitch Party involving students and aspiring young entrepreneurs from several institutions across Kashmir before the end of the year.
