Cultural activities, drone demonstration marks VBSY in Dansal

JAMMU, December 19: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on Tuesday reached Block Headquarter Dansal to raise awareness among locals about government schemes and fostering national integration.

Joni Kumar, Block Development Officer Dansal, led the VBSY Van to the event, where it was welcomed with a shower of flower petals. M.K. Bhat, Zonal Incharge Cultural Cell, Chandrashekhar Sharma, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer, Manzoor Ahmed, Block Medical Officer, Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, Child Development Project Officer, and members of the Rural Development Department, including Jaffar Mustafa (Nodal Officer), were among the guests.

The event kicked off with the screening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message, highlighting the accomplishments of various government schemes in Dansal village. Departmental heads from line departments set up stalls to distribute pamphlets, posters, and showcase their work through exhibitions.

 Sarpanch Soma Devi and Ex-PRI members expressed their gratitude to the district administration for bringing such a valuable and informative program to their doorstep.

Students from Govt Higher Secondary School Dansal and private schools presented vibrant cultural programs, including debates and thematic skits on national integration. Block Development Officer Joni Kumar felicitated the winners with prizes, recognizing their talent and enthusiasm.

Adding a unique touch to the event was a special demonstration of drones for agricultural use. This cutting-edge technology showcased the potential of drones in precision farming, optimising resource utilisation, and boosting agricultural productivity.

Throughout the event, sectoral officers addressed the gathering, disseminating vital information about various government schemes across sectors like health, housing, social welfare, agriculture, education, and more. Specific emphasis was placed on schemes like Ayushman Bharat Yojana, PMAY, Kisan Credit Card, Jal Jeevan Mission, Jan Dhan Yojana, UJJWALA Yojana (four new beneficiaries were registered during the program), UMEED (NRLM) and PM Vishwakarma.
