Cultural program mesmerises audience at Valedictory function of Fire Service Week

JAMMU, April 20: A scintillating cultural and allied activities mesmerized the audience as the Fire Service Week concluded across the Union Territory today.

A series of functions were held across the UT and the main functions were held at Jammu and Srinagar headquarters.

A cultural program was held at F&E HQRs Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under the supervision of Raj Kumar Raina, Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services Command Jammu.

Earlier, a welcome address was presented by Mohammad Jaffer I/C F&E HQRs Gandhi Nagar, who also conducted the event.

The singing programme began with the melodious performance of Narinder Singh, Mechanical Driver FES RS Pura, which enthralled the entire audience.

This was followed by the performance of Riaz Ahmed, Fire Man who sang a Dogri song in a typical style.

Later, a beautiful Kashmiri song was sung by Veer Ji Raina, SGFM DFO Office City.

The brilliant performances by the talented officials made the programme look utterly professional.

 On the concluding ceremony, the officers and officials pledged to continue the awareness programmes as per the directions of Alok Kumar (IPS), Director Fire & Emergency Services, who appreciated the Jawans while addressing the event virtually for conducting the week long activities in a most befitting manner.

Prominent among others the programme was attended by Foreman, RL Raina, Mandeep Singh and Kanwal Peshin, Divisional Fire Officer City and all In-charges of Jammu Command besides office staff and jawans.
