DC Anantnag conducts Comprehensive Inspection of Child Care Institutions in district
ANANTNAG JANUARY 07: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, S.F. Hamid today conducted a thorough inspection of Child Care Institutions (CCIs) in Anantnag district.
The primary goal of the visit was to assess operations, infrastructure, and address concerns regarding the well-being of children in these institutions.
During the visit, the DC actively engaged with both the staff and inmates of the CCIs. Inmates shared valuable suggestions on infrastructure and operations, prompting the DC to promptly instruct relevant departments to incorporate these suggestions into the institutions’ operational plans within a specified timeframe.
Emphasizing the district administration’s commitment, SF Hamid highlighted the crucial necessity for the proper physical, mental, and educational development of CCI inmates, recognizing them as the future of society. He further directed the CCI staff to provide diligent care to the children, acknowledging their significant role as builders of the nation.
In an immediate response to identified needs during the visit, the DC sanctioned a TV for Palaash and warm clothing for the inmates of Pareesha and Palaash. Additionally, he directed concerned authorities to maintain adequate heating arrangements, considering the chilly weather conditions, to ensure the comfort and well-being of the children.
It is pertinent to mention that approximately 100 children currently reside across the four CCIs in the Anantnag district.
The DC was accompanied by District Social Welfare Officer, Muzaffar Ahmad Malik, members of the Child Welfare Committee Anantnag, and officers from the Social Welfare Department.
