DC asks for preemptive measures to face anticipated challenges
DODA, NOVEMBER 21: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Harvinder Singh today convened a meeting here in the Mini Meeting Hall, DC Office to assess and streamline the preparedness measures for the winter season.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineer JPDCL, Executive Engineer STD Division Doda, Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs), Assistant Engineers (AEs), and Nodal Officers from PGCIL, RDSS, JKSPDC, and other concerned departments.
The DDC Doda emphasized the importance of ensuring uninterrupted essential services, particularly electricity and water supply, during the harsh winter months. He directed the concerned officers to prioritize timely maintenance and repairs of infrastructure, ensure adequate availability of resources, and address any anticipated challenges to minimize disruptions to public life.
Further, stress was laid on the need for interdepartmental coordination and evolving an efficient mechanism to promptly address public grievances. The DC urged all stakeholders to work proactively to ensure that the district is fully prepared to tackle the challenges of winter season effectively.
The officers and officials assured the DDC of their readiness and shared updates on their respective preparedness measures, including progress under various ongoing projects such as RDSS and JKSPDC initiatives.
The DDC Doda instructed the officers to submit regular progress reports and maintain close monitoring of the situation to ensure smooth operations throughout the winter months.
