DC assures elaborate security measures at project sites, safety of labourers in Poonch District

POONCH, NOVEMBER 22: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal and SSP Shafqat today conducted an extensive tour of Subdivision Surankote to take stock of security measures, especially for Non local labourers working at different developmental projects including National highways.

The visited sites included Pranai Project Draba, Machaki Tunnel construction site, Mastan Dhara tunnel construction site, Bafliaz and Dhundak camp, which are of national importance.

The DC and SSP listened to different requirements by labourers and workers and passed on the spot directions to officials for immediately providing required things.

A detailed security review was held where civil and police preparedness was evaluated and officials were directed to take elaborate measures for the safety of labourers including construction of barracks, toilets and installation of CCTV cameras etc at the labour camps and construction sites.

SDM Surankote Farooq Khan; SP Sachin Gupta; SDPO Surankote, Tehsildar Surankote and other officials accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
