DC Bandipora chairs District Valuation Committee meeting

BANDIPORA, December 09: Chairman, District Valuation Committee (Deputy Commissioner) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad Saturday reviewed the preparation for revision of market value guidelines/ rules for annual notification rates for the year 2024 in District Bandipora.

The meeting considered suggestions from several Tehsils for revising annual rates of land in various categories such as residential, commercial, agriculture, horticulture, non-cultivable, cultivable- irrigated and unirrigated, among others.

The presentations by the Asst Commissioner Revenue, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, and Tehsildars highlighted the methodology used, the field exercise, and the parameters considered for rate finalization.

Chairman DVC Bandipora directed the officers to make the final draft public and to consider opinions and ideas from all stakeholders. He asked for a thorough examination of numerous aspects in arriving at a set valuation of land, including master plan land use, kind of land, average sale rates, proximity to public transportation, and infrastructure development status, among others.

The valuation committee is finalising rates for the year 2024 as per the provisions laid down SRO 379 of Jammu and Kashmir Preparation and Revision of Market Value Guidelines Rules 2011 which mandates the District Valuation Board to fix the annual rates and valuation of immovable property.

The meeting was attended by ADC, ACR, SDM Sumbal/Gurez, all Tehsildars and other concerned officials of Revenue Department, Bandipora, besides, registrars from the Department of Land Registration, town planners, and officers from several departments.
