DC Bandipora chairs meeting for formulation of Convergence Plan under MGNREGA

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 23: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman Rather on Friday chaired a meeting of concerned officers for formulation of convergence plan under MGNREGA 2024-25.

The meeting discussed various strategies for optimizing the implementation of MGNREGA through effective convergence with other developmental schemes and initiatives.

With a focus on enhancing socio-economic well-being, the DC emphasized the importance of leveraging synergies between MGNREGA and other programmes to maximize their impact and ensure sustainable outcomes.

He stressed removing bottlenecks and enhancing coordination among various stakeholders to maximize the impact of MGNREGA interventions.

The DC asked the concerned officers to identify the focal areas to be considered while formulating the convergence plan for the district.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Mohammad Ashraf; ADC, Umar Shafi Pandit; ACD, Mumtaz Ahmad; CPO, Mohammad Maqbool; CAHO, Executive Engineers, Representatives from Horticulture, Agriculture, and other concerned departments.
