DC Bandipora chairs meeting on SANKALP

BANDIPORA, August 10: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Thursday convened a meeting to discuss the efficient utilization of funds released under the Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) program.

The DC stressed for collaboration among the concerned and directed for the effective implementation of projects aimed at skill development and livelihood enhancement.

It was given out that the program emphasizes vocational training, entrepreneurship development, and industry-relevant skill enhancement. The concerned informed that with the release of funds, Bandipora is poised to drive economic growth, empower its residents, and contribute to the nation’s workforce.

On the occasion, the DC highlighted the importance of aligning efforts to maximize the impact of the funds. Discussions centered around project proposals, training modules, resource allocation, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure accountability and transparency.

The meeting was attended by GM DIC, JDP, Superintendent ITI besides representatives from various sectors, including government departments, educational institutions, industry bodies, and non-governmental organizations.
