DC Bandipora chairs meeting to formulate Strategy Plan for Aspirational Block Tulail
BANDIPORA, September 19: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad, Tuesday presided over a meeting to discuss and strategize the development initiatives for the aspirational block of Tulail.
The DC on the occasion highlighted the significance of Tulail block within the Bandipora district. He said that Tulail, with its unique cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes, possesses immense potential for development and progress.
Dr. Owais reiterated that the district administration is committed to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Tulail and discussed the need for a comprehensive strategy plan that aligns with the ‘Aspirational Districts Program’. He said that the program, initiated by the Government of India, aims to transform the most backward districts into vibrant and socio-economically advanced regions.
The meeting discussed the need for improving infrastructure, including roads, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions, to enhance the quality of life for the people of Tulail.
Strategies to boost agriculture, horticulture, and tourism were also explored to create livelihood opportunities and reduce unemployment in the region.
On the occasion, the rich cultural heritage of Tulail was acknowledged, and plans were discussed to promote and preserve traditional art, music, and crafts to enhance tourism potential.
Dr Owais stressed the importance of sustainable development and the preservation of the pristine environment of Tulail Valley.
He also invited suggestions and feedback from the people, encouraging an open and inclusive approach to the development of Tulail.
