DC Bandipora conducts late-evening visit to District Hospital, Power Grid/ Receiving Stations
BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 04: In view of overnight snowfall, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman, conducted a surprise late-evening visit to the district hospital and power Grid/Receiving stations in the district on Sunday.
The visit aimed to gain a firsthand appraisal of the healthcare and electricity services being provided to the residents of Bandipora, especially after the overnight snowfall. He interacted with patients, medical staff, and officials at the District Hospital, inquiring about the availability of essential medicines, equipment, and the overall quality of care provided.
At the Ajar power receiving station and the Patushay Power Grid station, the DC inspected the infrastructure and assessed the power supply situation.
He held discussions with the engineers and officials present, emphasizing the need for uninterrupted power supply and prompt resolution of any technical issues during ongoing winter season and fresh spell of snowfall.
Among others, the DC was accompanied by ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi, Executive Engineer PDD Bandipora, officers from the health department besides other concerned field officials.
DC during the visit commended the untiring efforts of field staff of Power Development Department in early restoration of electricity in the district despite harsh weather conditions. He also expressed satisfaction on overall healthcare services being provided at District Hospital, Bandipora.
