DC Bandipora reviews progress of Mission Youth schemes
Stresses on collaborative efforts for Youth Engagement
BANDIPORA, February 22: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman Rather on Thursday convened a meeting at VC Room Mini-Secretariat, here to review the progress of Mission Youth schemes, Sanklap and Skilling Courses of B2V4.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on various schemes of Mission Youth, including Tejaswini, Mumkin, SEI, Avsar, besides the functioning of Youth Clubs.
The meeting was apprised that under Mumkin scheme of Mission Youth, 66 applications were received during 2023-24, and out of which 43 were approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC).
It was informed that the subsidy amount of Rs. 30 lac was released under the Mumkin scheme, and the same has been utilized completely.
Reviewing the Tejaswini scheme, the DC was informed that under the Tejaswini scheme of Mission Youth, 25 applications were received out of which 10 were approved by DLIC and 08 were sanctioned by the Bank and the funds to the tune of Rs. 11.5 lac stand utilized.
The meeting was informed that under the Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative (SEI), 98 applications were received, out of which 76 have been approved by DLIC.
The meeting also discussed various matters of AVSAR, including Skill Development Target, Career Guidance, Soft Skills, Job Melas, Industry Academia Connect, and Study Center of Professional Exams and other parameters of the scheme.
Emphasizing the importance of youth engagement, the DC directed the concerned departments and agencies to expedite the process of pending cases so that maximum youth get benefits of the self-employment opportunities.
The DC stressed collaborative efforts for engagement of youth under different schemes.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Mumtaz Ahmad Pir; Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Maqbool; Director RSETI, Superintendent ITI, Employment Officer, Career Counseling Officer, representative of Lead Bank, and other concerned officials.
