DC Bandipora tours Ajas; holds Public Outreach Programme

BANDIPORA, August 23: In order to take firsthand appraisal of developmental scenario and listen to various issues/grievances faced by the people, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of Ajas area and presided over a special Public Outreach Program.

A large gathering comprising both men and women, besides senior citizens, participated in the event.

The program was attended by DDC Member Dr Gh Mustafa, District Nodal Officer Coordination/ACD Bandipora Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, ACR Bandipora, JD Planning besides concerned officials and officers.

During the program, the DC held interactive sessions with the villagers, where he patiently listened to their grievances and suggestions. The locals on the occasion raised issues related to playground, healthcare facilities, drinking water, road connectivity, educational infrastructure, and power supply besides employment opportunities. People on the occasion also raised several land issues.

Dr. Owais assured the villagers that their concerns and feedback would be analyzed, and appropriate actions would be taken to address them. He reiterated that the district administration is committed to transparent and accountable governance.

The DC assured the villagers that the administration would prioritize these sectors to enhance the overall quality of life in Ajas Village and its surrounding areas.

On the occasion, the DC emphasized the significance of community participation in the development process. He urged the villagers to actively engage in the formulation and execution of local development plans and assured them of full support from the administration in their endeavors.

Meanwhile, Dr Owias undertook a surprise visit to Primary Health Centre Ajas wherein he inspected the PHC and took stock of the facilities available to the patients.

The DC enquired and checked the daily duty roaster and directed the staff to ensure punctuality so that sufficient healthcare facilities are provided to the people.
