DC Bandipora visits PHULWARI- Cradle Baby Reception Center & PALASH- Child Care Institute for girls at Sonerwani

Undertakes firsthand appraisal of overall well being of inmates

BANDIPORA, JANUARY 12: In order to assess facilities and services offered in various institutions of the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman, today undertook a comprehensive visit to several institutions including PHULWARI – Cradle Baby Reception Centre and PALASH – Child Care Institute for girls at Sonerwani Bandipora to have firsthand appraisal of  overall well being of inmates.

At PHULWARI, the DC interacted with the staff and observed the facilities set up for abandoned infants. He commended the staff for their dedication in providing crucial care for these vulnerable children and emphasized the importance of maintaining a child-friendly environment.

The DC subsequently proceeded to PALASH, the Child Care Institute for girls, where he engaged with the inmates and assessed their living conditions, educational opportunities, and overall well-being. He assured the girls of the administration’s commitment to their safety and holistic development.

The DC was accompanied by ADC Umar Shafi Pandit, DSWO Hidayatullah Mir, and other officials of DCPU Bandipora.
