DC Baramulla visits Imam-bara Goom-Ahmadpora Pattan

Addresses community issues ahead of Muharram-ul-Haram


BARAMULLA, JUNE 26: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa accompanied by a team of officers today visited the Imam-bara at Goom-Ahmadpora, Pattan, to engage with local representatives and address community issues ahead of Muharram-ul-Haram.


During the visit, the DC interacted closely with public representatives, listening attentively to their concerns which included infrastructure repairs, sanitation, drinking water, electricity supply, medical facilities, and the provision of firewood.


The DC assured the community of the administration’s commitment to addressing these issues promptly.


Additionally, the DC directed the installation of a Genset for electricity backup at the Imam-bara, Goom-Ahmadpora an area where large gatherings assemble during processions.


To ensure effective implementation, the DC and the accompanying team of officers coordinated efforts to oversee the resolution of these issues.


In response to the community’s needs, the DC issued directives to concerned authorities, emphasizing the urgency of resolving these issues. This proactive approach aims to ensure a smooth and harmonious observance of Muharram-ul-Haram, respecting the cultural significance of the gatherings.
