DC B’pora chairs DCC/ DLRC meeting for Quarter ending December

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 28: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri today chaired District Consultative Committee (DCC)/ District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting for the December quarter of FY 2024-25 at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, Bandipora.


LDM Bandipora, Shameem Ahmad Haji briefed the chair regarding the performance of banks in both priority and non-priority sectors, as well as the progress of various beneficiary-oriented social security schemes.


During the meeting, the DC urged all stakeholders to work on addressing the challenges and bottlenecks affecting the performance of banks in the district. He also emphasized the importance of improving coordination between line departments and banks to address these issues.


During the meeting, it was informed that the District has achieved 46% of ACP (FY 24-25) in three quarters by disbursing an amount of Rs 779.10 crores against the target of 1691.29 crores, with both sectors priority and non-priority contributing equally with priority sector showing achievement of Rs 394 crores and non priority sector recording achievement of 385 crores.


On the occasion, the DC directed all the banks to ensure achievement of 100% against the allocated target by March end. He Further urged the banks and departments to improve the credit in all 29 schemes under HADP scheme.


Qadri further directed all banks and departments to vigorously participate in jan suraksha campaign for mobilizing more applications under social security schemes with the help of all resources available for 100% achievement.


Speaking on the occasion, ADDC urged for 100% coverage of active KCC for issuance of KCC smart cards, and all banks were directed to report the progress and make strategy for its saturation.


Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat; Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Chief Agriculture Officer Bandipora, Chief Horticulture Officer, officers from various departments, and representatives from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), NABARD and other stakeholders.
