DC B’pora reviews Jal Jeevan Mission in district
Regularly monitor the quality & progress on all allotted works for time-bound completion: Dr. Owais
BANDIPORA, January 28: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Saturday convened a meeting of concerned Officers to review the Jal Jeevan Mission of Bandipora district.
During the meeting, the DC took detailed review of physical and financial progress of various JJM Works besides he also discussed authorization for issuance of allotment for various works under JJM in the district.
The meeting was informed that 120 schemes have been proposed under JJM including works of 17 Borewells, 38 Rapid Sand Filtration plants, 16 Slow Sand Filtration plants, 22 Overhead tanks and 91 grounded service Reservoirs.
It was given out that, in 28 schemes of PHE Division Sopore, out of 69 works tender response was received for 53 works and 16 works had been re-tendered.
Further, 36 works were allotted and work on 21 projects has been started besides one work has been completed.
The chair was apprised that 129 works of PHE Division Bandipora 113 works has been allotted and 05 works has been completed and out of 27 works of special sub division Gurez, 15 works has been allotted and one has been completed.
On the occasion, 13 works were presented before committee for approval with an amount of 1089.40 lacs to be allotted.
Dr. Owais instructed all the concerned officers to speed up the works under JJM so that the target can be achieved within the stipulated period.
He asked the officers to regularly monitor the quality and progress on all allotted works for time-bound completion.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora Ali Afsar Khan, Superintending Engineer PHE Hyd. Circle Bpr/Bla H.Q Sopore, Mohd Haneef, Dy. Chief Education Officer Bandipora Mohd Rafiq Parray, Executive Engineer PHE/Irrigation Bandipora Syed Fida Hussain Rizvi, Executive Engineer PHE/migration Sopore, Executive Engineer PHE Mechanical North Bla/Bpr and other concerned.
