DC B’pora reviews performance of Revenue Department

BANDIPORA, February 21: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad Tuesday chaired a meeting of revenue officers to review the performance of the revenue department.

During the meeting, detailed review regarding different deliverables was taken and necessary directions were issued to the concerned Officers.

The DC also took the status of implementation of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme and Jamabandi writing in the district besides geo tagging and agriculture census.

Dr Owais on the occasion also reviewed the status of removal of encroachments. He directed the officers to ensure no underprivileged household gets affected by the ongoing drive.

He asked the officers to ensure eviction of state/Kahcharai land and identify the big patches of land. He said the land would be used for public welfare including construction of stadiums, libraries, Youth hostel and other institutions of public welfare.

Dr Owais directed the officers to complete the first phase of agriculture census till March 10th.

He also asked the revenue officers to expedite the process of distribution of land passbooks.

During the meeting, DC also asked the revenue officers to provide certification of proposed locations for 4-G and 5-G towers.

The pending court cases were also discussed in the meeting and directions were passed for following the cases for early disposals. He stressed upon the revenue officials to adopt a target driven approach to ensure the time bound completion of the process.

Meanwhile, The DC also directed the Tehsildars to ensure the effective implementation of revenue department e-services under Public Service Guarantee Act and take stringent action against the defaulters for dereliction of their duties irrespective of rank and file, besides to impose penalties.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that effective public service and grievance redressal mechanisms shall be placed at the grassroots level on priority so that the public does not suffer anymore.

Dr. Owais asked the Tehsildars for disposal of online Application of Fard within the timeline as per guidelines and directed them to monitor online portals on daily basis for disposal of cases within the set timeline.

The meeting was attended by ADC Waseem Raja, ACR Parvaiz Rahim, SDM Sumbal Aamir Choudhary, Tehsildars and other senior officers of the district.
