DC B’pora Reviews Progress of JJM in District
Emphasises timely completion of schemes
Bandipora, February 16: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, today convened a meeting at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora to review the ongoing progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.
The meeting focused on evaluating various ongoing schemes under JJM to ensure their timely completion.
The meeting discussed the status of JJM schemes in the Sumbal Sub-Division, where 11 out of 29 schemes have been completed. Additionally, the civil work of 18 schemes has been finalized, with mechanical work currently underway.
DC directed the officers to bring any issues or challenges to the attention of the district administration for their prompt resolution, ensuring that the schemes are completed on time.
Reviewing the progress of Gurez Sub-Division, DC was informed that 90% of the work on all JJM schemes has been completed besides the meeting also reviewed the progress and discussed various issues concerning the implementation of JJM schemes in the Bandipora Division.
DC reiterated the need for collective efforts to expedite the completion of these essential water supply projects to ensure the provision of safe drinking water to every household under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
