DC briefs Political representatives on Special Summary Revision of electoral roll- 2024 at Rajouri

RAJOURI, JUNE 29: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat today chaired a meeting with representatives from recognized political parties to discuss the counters of special summary revision of photo electoral rolls with July 1 as the qualifying Date.


Om Prakash Bhagat highlighted the details of the ongoing house-to-house survey for the special summary revision, which is scheduled to conclude on July 4, 2024. He emphasized the importance of this survey in ensuring accurate and up-to-date voter lists.


Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat urged the representatives of the political parties to actively engage with the public to promote maximum voter enrollment. He stressed the role of political parties in raising awareness and encouraging eligible citizens to register as voters.


The meeting concluded with a commitment from all parties to collaborate closely with the administration to facilitate a smooth and inclusive electoral process and to ensure registration of every eligible voter.


Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat expressed confidence that this collaborative effort will contribute to enhancing the transparency and efficiency of the electoral roll revision process.
