DC Budgam chairs Block Diwas at far-flung Frestawar village in Block Khansahab
Says work on network connectivity, veterinary camps, upgraded infrastructure for sports facilities & other developmental projects to be taken up on priority
BUDGAM, January 25: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo chaired a Public Darbar at remote village of Frestawar in Khansahab Block of the district.
On the occasion, locals from village Frestawar, Shalinaar, Hangu, Frestlab and adjacent villages raised their suggestions and demands with the DC.
After giving patient hearing to locals, the DC assured that all their genuine demands shall be taken up with the relevant quarters for prompt redressal.
He said that as demanded by the locals, the District Administration will conduct a seven day long veterinary camp for the livestock.
He said during the mobile veterinary set- up, a dedicated team of doctors shall carry out health check up of all livestock of these villages and facilitate required medicine and fodder for their livestock.
In order to ensure better network connectivity in the area, the DC said that work on establishment of cellular network shall be taken up on priority to facilitate better phone connectivity to locals of Frestawar village.
Among various other facilities, the DC instructed concerned on augmentation of the playground at Frestawar and instructed concerned department to provide sports equipment and create required sports infrastructure at sports field for local youth.
Besides, a state-of-the art Indoor Stadium is under construction in a nearby village of Arigam, which will be used for all local youths for indoor sports activities. DC instructed concerned to expedite work on the project for its speedy completion.
He said that work on the bridge between Arigam- Frestawar shall also be taken up with the relevant quarters for its execution.
Meanwhile, the DC also assured that the improvement works related under Jal Shakti, KPDCL, Health and Education sectors have been duly noted and shall be taken with concerned for prompt redressal.
Stressing on robust development of the area, the DC said that the district administration is committed to ensure speedy infrastructure projects completion and prompt service delivery to people in both urban and rural areas of the district.
