DC Budgam inaugurates sports field at Hushroo Chadoora
Chairs Public Darbar, says District Administration committed to ensure robust development of all rural areas
BUDGAM, JANUARY 16: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo today chaired a Public Darbar at village Hushroo in Block Chadoora.
On the occasion, the DC also inaugurated and dedicated a Rs. 10 lac newly constructed Sports field to local youth of Hushroo.
He stated that the sports field facility was long pending demand of local youth which has been made possible by the district administration on priority.
He urged youth to make best use of the field and utilise it as a platform to promote sports culture in the area and enhance their skills in different sports activities.
DC said that the required sports infrastructure shall be established at the field for use of sports loving youngsters by the concerned department.
On the occasion, the DC also chaired a Public darbar where locals from villages including Hushroo, Wagam, Kanir, Panzan, Hanjigund, Porwara and other adjacent villages raised their suggestions and demands with him.
DC after giving patient hearing assured them that all their genuine demands shall be addressed on priority.
He directed the R&B Executive Engineer to check feasibility and submit a report on the widening of Panzan- Porwara road project.
Similarly, concerned were instructed to identify land patches for the development of two more sports fields at Wangam and Porwara villages.
Direction for speedy disposal of land compensation cases, and other ongoing development works in Hushroo and adjacent areas be carried out at good pace.
DC said that the district administration is committed to ensure all infrastructural projects are completed and dedicated to the public in a short span of time.
He said similarly, the Administration stands for robust development of all rural areas and ensure all basic and upgraded facilities be it in education, health or under any other sector are available to the local population.
On the occasion, the DC also interacted with young cricketers and felicitated them for their participation in the inaugural match.
He also distributed free seedlings under HADP amongst various farmers, who were present on the occasion.
Additional Commissioner State Taxes Kashmir, Shakeel Maqbool, also spoke on the occasion, expressed his gratitude to the district administration for dedicating a sports field and conducting Public darbar.
He said the focus of the government is on good governance and public darbar is its manifestation.
Among others, CPO Fayaz Ahmad, ACD, CEO, SDM and all district, sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
