DC Budgam inspects various hospitals in Beerwah, Magam
NTPHC Aripathan, USG with Colour Doppler, Eye Post Surgical Ward at SDH Beerwah among other facilities made functional.
BUDGAM, January 03: The Deputy Commissioner Budgam, S F Hamid, along with DDC Chairman Nazir Ahmad Khand today inspected various hospitals in Beerwah and Magam areas to take on spot assessment of healthcare facilities.
During his visit, NTPHC Aripathan, USG with Colour Doppler, Eye Post Surgical Ward at SDH Beerwah among other facilities were made functional for the convenience of the general public.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DDC Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan said that the building was languishing since long due to the lack of funds. “I’m grateful to Hon’ble LG , Chief Secretary and the entire district administration for taking concrete steps in making this building functional.”
He added that “I’m hopeful of a positive support from the administration in making other languishing buildings operational.”
The DC said that new healthcare facilities made functional today would cater to the public demand and enhance delivery of better healthcare facilities to patients.
He said that LG Administration is keen on providing better patient care facilities in all areas and special focus is being given on this sector.
During inspection at SDH Beerwah, SDH Magam and NTPHC Aripathan, the DC visited Gynae, Dental sections, OPDs, General Wards, pharmacies, Laboratories and other facilities.
He interacted with patients and attendants to enquire about facilities provided to the general public, besides assessed the availability of medicine at hospitals.
He also checked the attendance of doctors and paramedics and emphasized that all staff adhere to the duty roster in letter and spirit in all hospitals and other offices.
During the visit, the DC also met various public delegations who raised their demands with him. DC gave them patient hearing and said that all their genuine demands shall be taken up for redressal on priority.
Later, DC also visited the SDM office Beerwah to take on spot assessment of the functioning of the office. He stressed on prompt delivery of public services and hassle-free redressal of public grievances.
SDM Beerwah, CMO Budgam, and BMO were also present on the occasion.
