DC Budgam takes stock of beautification works along Humhama-Budgam road
Stresses on work completion on Clock Tower, drainage works, landscaping & holding of regular sanitation drives
BUDGAM, June 22: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam Akshay Labroo today took stock of beautification works along the Humhama- Budgam road.
During inspection, DC said that under face-lifting of roads, a robust drainage system will be developed, besides streamlining of public utilities and regular sanitation and cleanliness drives be also carried out at all identified spots from Humhama Chowk to Budgam road stretch.
He instructed the concerned to ensure bush cutting and covering of open areas besides dumping points be shifted from roadside for the public convenience.
Direction was given to the concerned for illumination of Bridge at Naraspora near Railway Approach road besides coloring of electric poles under the beautification of the town areas.
The DC also took stock of construction of Clock Tower at Old Bus Stand, landscaping and tile works there.
Instructions were given for completion of all ongoing works in a stipulated time frame.
DC directed the concerned to ensure macadamization of all identified spots, and removal of construction material and legacy waste from either side of the road for smooth and hassle-free movement of both public as well private transport.
Earlier, DC also flagged-off a sanitation rally under Safai Abhiyaan campaign at Humhama Chowk.
The DC among others was accompanied by ADDC Dr Akramullah Tak, President Municipal Council Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad, Ward Members, JD Planning, ACD, ACP, Executive Engineers of different engineering wings, EO Municipal Committee Budgam and others concerned during the visit.
