DC chairs District Skill Committee meeting at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 18: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting of the District Skill Committee (DSC) here in the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex to review the implementation of the District Skill Development Plan.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar, GM DIC Pankaj Anand, and other senior officers from diverse departments.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the crucial need for inter-departmental coordination for effective execution of Skiing programs in the District. She directed the concerned departments to organize counseling programs, enlightening the unemployed youth about self-employment schemes. The DC stressed the importance of data analysis regarding unemployed youths and a goal to achieve a 100% literacy rate in the district.

Seeking focus on Skill Development schemes, the DC underscored the importance of creating a robust skill environment in the district. DC stated that this approach would empower individuals to become self-sufficient and financially independent. She directed officers to take proactive steps in training a maximum number of unemployed youth under various skill development initiatives, contributing to the overall progress of the district.
