DODA, MARCH 29: To ensure smooth public movement and maintenance of law and order during Eid-ul-Fitr and Navratri, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh, conducted an extensive market inspection in Doda town today.

The inspection aimed at regulating traffic, checking market violations, ensuring compliance with Norma and improving public convenience during the festive rush. The DC Doda took immediate measures to streamline traffic management, initiated eviction of encroachments, ensuring hassle-free movement for shoppers and commuters.
During the inspection, unauthorized parking at Nehru Chowk was cleared to improve road accessibility. Roadside vendors (Rehri) and illegally parked vehicles were removed to ease congestion.
Medical shops and other commercial establishments were inspected to ensure compliance with quality and pricing standards. Instructions were given to prevent overpricing and ensure the availability of essential commodities.
Municipal and enforcement teams were deployed to maintain vigilance against violations. Unauthorized open donations were halted to ensure transparency and accountability.
The DC urged the public to maintain peace and communal harmony during the festive season. He emphasized the importance of disciplined market practices, strict enforcement of traffic regulations, and safeguarding public interests.
The DC was accompanied by Tehsildar , DySP Headquarters, SHO, officials from the Municipal Council, and other concerned departments.
