DC Doda chairs DLRC meeting
Asks banks to focus on priority sector lending; clear all self employment sponsored cases
DODA, JANUARY 07: To review the performance of the Banks and other Financial Institutions under Government sponsored schemes, a meeting of District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, held here in Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
Besides Bankers, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Pran Singh; Chief Planning Officer, Suresh Kumar; Dy Director Employment, Idrees Lone; LDM, Parveen Kumar; Manager RBI, District Manager NABARD, CAHO, CAO, DSHO, Zonal Officer JK Bank, District Manager KVIB, other officers/representatives of the departments and banks operating in the district.
The DC held threadbare discussion with regard to the lending in priority, non priority, agro sector, number of self-employment cases sponsored by the intending departments, the cases sanctioned, cases disbursed, pending for disbursement.
Besides, the Committee also reviewed the implementation of Mumkin scheme, Tejaswani, PMEGP, MUDRA, NULM, NPAs, and progress of ADHAAR linkage.
The Deputy Commissioner took sector wise performance review of the Banks in the implementation of different Government initiatives wrt employment generation etc. He also reviewed the achievements of Banks in lending to priority/non priority sectors under Annual Credit Plan.
Disbursement of pending cases of loan in Agro, Handloom and other allied sectors were also reviewed by the Chairman DLRC and banks were asked to focus on lending in priority sectors including Education and Agro based sectors.
The DC asked banks to promote the education loan scheme and proliferate the Vidya Lakshmi portal. He instructed for 100% seeding of Aadhar numbers of PM kissan beneficiaries to their accounts and start recovery of amount paid to ineligible beneficiaries.
All banks were advised to share data of Pensioners, Govt employees and tax payers who are taking benefit of PM Kissan.
The DC also asked bank representatives to approach the people to inform them about their upcoming schemes for self employment, insurance and other financial inclusion activities. The DC urged bankers and other financial agencies to lay special focus on providing financial help to unemployed youth so that they can earn their livelihood with dignity.
The DC urged the sponsoring agencies to conduct training/ Capacity Building under PMEGP and other schemes before the end of this month and upload the same on the designated portal.
Regarding establishment of R-SETI, the DC has asked the agencies that land shall be allocated for the same in next few days. Bankers were asked to earmark the share of CSR for the district and utilise it with due consultation.
