DC Doda inspects Amrit Sarovars, MRF, other ongoing works; Reviews developmental scenario in Bhaderwah
BHADERWAH, March 10: Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan, along with ADC Bhaderwah, Chowdhary Dil Mir; ACD, Doda Phulail Singh and other officials, inspected ongoing developmental works in Bhaderwah sub-district recently.
The DC held a review meeting with key officials to assess the progress of the developmental works in Additional District Bhaderwah. During the inspection, DC reviewed the progress of Amrit Sarovar Butla, Material Recovery Facility (MRF), MGNREGA works, Cluster Model Villages works and other departmental works under Capex and other schemes.
He instructed the executing agencies to complete the work on time while maintaining the quality of work to make it an alternate tourist destination. The DC also urged the agencies to double their efforts to complete all the work taken up by the end of the financial year 2022-23.
During the review meeting, the officials were instructed to focus on Swachhta and improve infrastructure as the tourist season is expected to have a huge footfall this year. They were instructed to keep an eye on illegal encroachment, particularly along the roadsides.
During his visit to Bhaderwah, DC also met with BDC Chairperson Bhaderwah Omi Chand, various public delegations, PRIs and local people. He listened to their grievances and asked the concerned authorities to resolve the genuine issues in the shortest possible time.
