DC Doda reviews preparedness on Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign
DODA, August 4: The Deputy Commissioner of Doda, Vishesh Mahajan today reviewed preparedness regarding “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign.
During the session, Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of completing the execution work for the preparation of a ‘Silaphalakam’ that will stand as a tribute to the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. The DC also issued directives for the establishment of outlets and inlets on the Silaphalakam.
To oversee the Panchayat Based Maati Yatra, related to the campaign, he asked the concerned to engage the volunteers and make the list of the volunteers carrying urns of Maati Yatra to Union capital.
Furthermore, DC impressed upon the forest department to be prepared for plantation drive of 75 plants per panchayat, encompassing all 237 panchayats across the district. In a heartening gesture, families of the local martyrs will be honoured with utmost respect to commemorate the spirit of the Meri Maati Mera Desh Abhiyan.
To pay homage to our soil, the DC also urged the illumination of local ‘Mati Lamps’ in every block.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Doda, ACD Doda, ACP Doda, DFO Doda, and GM DIC Doda, signifying a united effort towards the campaign’s success.
