DC Doda reviews progress under Jal Jeevan Mission, emphasises timely completion of targets
DODA, AUGUST 14: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) at the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Doda. As the Chairman of the District Jal Jeevan Mission, Singh oversaw discussions on the progress of various schemes under the mission, stressing the importance of adhering to the timelines set by the Chief Secretary.
During the meeting, the discussion covered all bottlenecks and hindrances, including forest and land issues, as well as other parameters related to the work.
The DC also discussed these issues and parameters regarding the implementation of the JJM schemes virtually with concerned officers and contractors and asked to enhanced the execution works and progress on the ongoing works
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of all parameters critical to achieving the mission’s objectives, directing officers to prioritize key tasks and overcome any existing challenges.
A significant point of discussion was the target to achieve 70% of the work by the end of August. The meeting also focused on the construction and expansion of the pipe network, the establishment of slow sand filtration plants, and the installation of water treatment facilities.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure the quality of work and address any bottlenecks that could hinder progress.
In addition to reviewing the ongoing projects, the Deputy Commissioner called for regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure the sustainability of the schemes. He emphasized that the success of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Doda would greatly contribute to the larger goal of providing safe and adequate drinking water to every rural household in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Doda Pran Singh, CPO Doda Manesh Kumar Manhas, DPO Doda S. Parmjeet Singh, ACD Doda Manoj Kumar, CEO Doda P.L. Thapa, CMO Doda Om Kumar, district officers, XEN PHE Doda, members of the JJM mission and representatives of concerned departments.
