DC Doda visits Ek Mukhi Shivji Heritage Temple, other ancient sites on Mahashivratri Eve
DODA MARCH 9: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, alongside Additional Deputy Commissioner Sudershan Kumar, and ACR Doda Sunil Kumar Bhutyal l embarked on a visit to the ancient Pandavas site at Shiva Dal and the Ek Mukhi Shivji Heritage Temple at Mohalla yesterday.
The visit aimed to honor the sacred occasion and explore the cultural heritage of the region.
During the visit, the DC led team was warmly welcomed by the president of the Ek Mukhi Shiv Mandir Samiti, Shri Seva Ram Parihar, along with devout devotees. Both officials paid homage at the ancient temple, offering sacred water on the ancient Shiv Linga and seeking blessings.
In recent days, Principal Secretary to Culture, Suresh Kumar Gupta, also conducted a significant visit to the ancient temple. He emphasized the cultural significance of heritage sites, stating that these have the potential to attract visitors not only from Jammu and Kashmir but also from across India and the world.
Principal Secretary Gupta’s assurance underscores the importance of preserving and promoting cultural heritage to foster tourism and enrich cultural exchanges. The visit by Deputy Commissioner Doda and other officials highlights the commitment to preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the region.
