DC encourages Transporters to strengthen Road Safety measures in Kishtwar District
KISHTWAR, December 22: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today spearheaded a pivotal meeting with the members of the Transport Union and concerned Officers.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to deliberate upon critical issues and the shared responsibility of union members in effectively implementing road safety measures across Kishtwar.
The meeting served as a platform to address several crucial concerns integral to road safety enhancement. Key discussions revolved around pivotal topics including the mandatory installation of GPS in vehicles, adherence to essential documentation, strict compliance with traffic regulations, enforcing speed limits, and ensuring the timely issuance of fitness certificates for vehicles.
The Transport Union also highlighted their issues in the meeting, which were noted by the Chair for appropriate resolution.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar,Inderjeet Singh Parihar; ASP Traffic Doda-Kishtwar Baljit Singh, DySP HQ Ishan Gupta, ARTO Kishtwar,Mohd Saleem Manhas besides Mr. Bansi Lal Shan, President of the Transport Union, among others attended the meeting.
The deliberations underscored the collective responsibility shared by the Transport Union and the district administration in fostering a safer and more secure road environment.
