DC felicitates 60 Board Exam merit holders, 2 NEET qualifiers at Poonch
POONCH, JUNE 23: To honor and celebrate the hard work of meritorious students of government schools who shined in class 12 and Class 10 Board Exams, the Department of School Education, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, on Friday organised a grand function themed “kabliyat, Koshish, and Kaamyabi” here in the Government Degree College Auditorium.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin Mohammad Choudhary was the chief guest on the occasion.
The felicitation ceremony began with the lighting of the traditional lamb by the chief guest followed by reciting of the National Anthem.
The First three toppers of classes 12th and 10th at district level ( stream wise science, Arts and Commerce separately) were given Laptops by the Department of social welfare, whereas the 2nd and third toppers were given tabs by the department of School education. The students who secured above 90% marks in class 12 and 10th were also felicitated . All the students were honored with mementos and certificates of appreciation. Moreover, two students of government schools who recently qualified NEET were also felicitated on the occasion.
The parents and heads of schools also accompanied the meritorious students on the stage to receive the awards.
Earlier, Bishamber Dass, Chief Education Officer Poonch read the welcome address and highlighted the achievements of the Education Department.
A cultural program was also presented on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner, in his address congratulated the students for their excellent performance and urged them to continue working hard and strive for success in their future endeavors.
The Chief Guest also hailed the parents and teachers, appreciating their support and guidance to the students. He emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future of the nation and encouraged the students to become responsible citizens.
He asked the students to follow the theme of the felicitation ceremony “Kabliyat, Koshish aur Kamyabi” and work hard to achieve success in their life.
The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks by the District Education and Planning Officer, N M Suri.
The parents of students and staff expressed their gratitude to the Department of School Education and the Social welfare department, especially the Deputy commissioner Poonch for organizing such a memorable event to recognize and encourage academic excellence of the students of government Schools.
ADDC, Tahir Mustafa Malik; Prof. Jasbir Singh, Principal Degree College Poonch; Jaswant Singh, principal DIET; Mohammad latif Choudhary, Deputy CEO; Principals, ZEOs Parents and Heads of High Schools also attended the ceremony.
