DC finalises arrangement for Republic Day celebration in Poonch

POONCH, JANUARY 23: To finalise the arrangements for Republic Day 2023 celebrations, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet on Monday chaired a meeting of concerned officers here in the Dakbunglow.

 The meeting finalised arrangements for smooth conduct of the national event. The DC also instructed the concerned to organise a colorful cultural program to mark the event. The DC instructed the officers to put in place elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of this National function.

The meeting held threadbare discussions on arrangements to be put in place at the venue including security, seating, car parking, transportation and illumination of buildings, refreshments, water, Power, Barricading, Canopies, PA System, Reception Committee, seating arrangement, Media Gallery, Medicare facilities  besides accommodation for the participants.

The meeting was told that the Republic Day celebrations will begin with playing of Shehnai Vadan at designated places by the Information Department in the wee hours.

The DC directed all the concerned departments to make fool proof arrangements for R-Day celebration and Full dress rehearsal.

The contingents of Police, CRPF, JKP, JKPQRT Commando, Home Guard, NCC from degree college Poonch besides Police Band will  be the part of celebration.
