DC inaugurates well equipped cultural workshop at DIPR Ramban
RAMBAN, October 09: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam today inaugurated a cultural workshop at District Information Centre established to provide local artists a platform to hone their skills.
He also handed-over the latest modern Electronic and Traditional musical instruments to the District Information Centre Ramban provided by Patel Engineering Ltd under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma, ADC, Harbans Sharma, CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal, ACR, Giasul Haq, Dy. DEO, Lal Chand and other senior officers were also present
Musical instruments worth Rs 10 lakh have been provided by the Patel Engineering Ltd to facilitate the local youth through District Information Centre as first consignment of proposal formulated by the District Administration to encourage local budding artists.
Appreciating the Patel Engineering Ltd working on USBRL for its gesture and contribution in the establishment of a cultural unit in DIPR Ramban, the Deputy Commissioner said that more requisite articles and equipment will be provided to the department for developing a cultural taste among the potential youth.
The Deputy Commissioner directed DIPR Ramban to submit a proposal for the establishment of a well-equipped music room at DIC for daily rehearsal of cultural items.
Assuring full support from District Administration, the Deputy Commissioner said that district Administration is implementing a range of youth oriented schemes like Khelo India and Mission Youth for the overall development of the youth.
