DC intervenes to resolve road widening deadlock in Akhnoor

JAMMU, JUNE 24: In response to a news report highlighting delays in the road widening project from Old Bridge to Nirdosh Chowk in Akhnoor, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya has taken immediate cognisance of the issue. The delays were attributed to a lack of coordination between departments.

The Deputy Commissioner has entrusted the ACR to ensure quick resolution of the matter.

The Power Development Department shall promptly relocate electricity poles, ensuring that no trees are harmed in the process.

Additionally, the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate has been instructed to facilitate the shifting of the poles, starting from Tuesday, to expedite the road construction.
