DC Kishtwar finalises arrangements for Urs Shah Farid-ud-Din Sahib
KISHTWAR, JUNE 09: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today reviewed the arrangements for Urs Shah Farid-Ud-Din Sahib scheduled on 20th & 21st of June 2023, here at a meeting of line departments and representatives of religious organisations.
SSP, Khalil Ahmed Poswal; ADDC, Sham Lal; ADC/CEO Kishtwar Development Authority, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; ACR, Varunjeet Charak; ACD, Sunil Bhutyal; AD FSC&CS Shafqat Keen; DIO Kuldeep Kumar; EO Municipal Council Ninad Sen, Representatives of Auqaf Board, besides concerned District Officers attended the meeting.
The DC reviewed the arrangements like accommodation for devotees, power & water supply, firewood, stocks of ration andLPG, Sanitation, Security, Medical care, transportation, fire tender and traffic management.
Necessary directions were given to the concerned District Officers and they were asked to ensure that all the necessary arrangements are placed well in time.
The SSP Kishtwar informed the meeting that fool proof security arrangements will be placed during the Urs Days at the venue and the Shrines.
The DC directed Executive Engineer PHE to ensure availability of sufficient drinking water for devotees/Ziareens at the shrines of Astan Bala, Astan Pian and other places along with the provision of water tankers.
EO Municipality was also directed to ensure proper cleanliness around the shrines and lime lining of the roads leading to the shrines.
Further, ARTO, DTI, SHO and manager bus stand were directed to devise a transport plan viz. arrangement of additional buses for smooth to and fro movement of pilgrims, management of Traffic and Parking of vehicles.
Executive Engineer JPDCL Kishtwar was directed to ensure uninterrupted Power Supply at both the shrines and places of stay of Ziareens besides also directed to keep genset available at both Ziarats.
The DC also directed health authorities to establish first aid camps and ensure basic medical facilities including an Ambulance for both the shrines.
Various other arrangements were also discussed in the meeting which includes temporary toilets, parking facility of passenger vehicles, establishment of control room constituting representatives of all the concerned line departments and installation of Public Address System and CCTV camera at required places.
It was also given out in the meeting that Administrator J&K Waqf Board Kishtwar (ACP) shall be the Nodal Officer for implementation of decisions and directions, deployment of Magistrate duties besides issue the necessary permissions to Vendors for installing stalls at specific locations.
