DC Kishtwar inaugurates canteen run by women SHGs 

KISHTWAR, March 18: Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav inaugurated a canteen run by women Self Help Groups (SHG) of Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) at DC Office complex in presence of ADDC, Sham Lal and ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak.

The canteen services will be managed by women SHGs of JKRLM. Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction on involving women SHGs in operating the canteen and said JKRLM is emerging as a platform for rural women to attain financial independence. 

District Program Manager, Bilal ur Rehman said that members from local community have been encouraged and skilled to run the canteen.

Among others, the inaugural ceremony was attended by SHG members, officials of JKRLM and various departments.
