DC Kishtwar presides over Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Bimal Nag, Saroor of Block Drabshalla

KISHTWAR, JULY 24: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today led the Public Grievance Redressal Camp during the Weekly Block Diwas program at famous tourist and religious destination Bimal Nag of Saroor Block Drabshalla.


The event saw active participation from ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone, ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh, DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed Lone, ALC Kishtwar Mamta Sudershan, Tehsildar Drabshalla Irshad Ahmed, BDO Hitesh Lona, CAO Kishtwar Amjad Hussain Malik and several other district and sectoral officials and field functionaries of RDD and other departments.


The session commenced with ACR Kishtwar updating the chair and other attendees on actions taken regarding grievances and demands raised in the previous Block Diwas program held at HSS Shirod.
He also informed the public about the upcoming 2nd Summary Revision of the Photo Electoral Roll 2024 starting on July 25th, urging new voters to register and existing voters to update their details.


Throughout the program, public delegations led by prominent local figures voiced their grievances about the need for infrastructure improvements in road, health, education, power, water supply sectors, and public service delivery mechanisms.


The DC Kishtwar patiently listened to the grievances and addressed many issues on the spot with the assistance of the convened district and sectoral officers.
Several on-the-spot directives were issued, including Establishing a Labour Room in HWC Tatani through coordination between the CEO Ratle HEP Drabshalla and CMO Kishtwar, Directing ExEN PMGSY Division Kishtwar to repair the Chalasso Tatani Road and construct retaining walls where needed, exploring the feasibility of upgrading GMS Tatani to a High School, expediting work on the Kalchanda Road and Sirodh Tatani Road under PMGSY, taking steps to operationalize Grid Station Joshana.
Other grievances/issues such as payment to landowners, and removal of bounders on Drabshalla to Bimal Nag road and demarcation of HSS Shirod land through proper fencing were addressed during the camp.


Further, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav discussed and resolved issues of people regarding the posting of Naib Tehsildar at Tatani, enhancing water supply through additional line of Water supply from Goban Rushur to tatani, initiating an SRTC Bus Service from Kishtwar to Kalchanda, constructing a Mini Hydel project on Kuligarh Nallah, and providing employment opportunities to the local youth of Panchayat Tatani A & B in HEPP, Ratle

Dr. Devansh Yadav encouraged farmers to take advantage of schemes under HADP to increase their income using modern technology and establishing credit linked subsidised installation of value-added units.
He also urged concerned departments to collaboratively develop a master plan for TRC Bimal Nag to maximize the area’s tourism potential and focused on outsourcing of TRC Bimal Nag like that of TRC Kishtwar for optimal utilisation of resources and generating employment opportunity for local youth.


The Deputy Commisioner also directed the officials of Animal Husbandry Department to conduct a screening and vaccination drive for animals at Dhar Bangar.
Alongside the camp, a mega Cleanliness drive under Swachhta Pakhwara was launched by Dr. Devansh Yadav at Bimal Nag to promote Swatch Bharat Abhiyan-Grameen and raise awareness about cleanliness among visitors.
During the camp, senior citizen kits provided by the Social Welfare Department Kishtwar were distributed among the senior citizens of Saroor.
