DC Kishtwar reviews formulation of District Capex Budget Plan for FY 2023-24

KISHTWAR, May 01: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today chaired a meeting of heads of line departments to review the progress on the formulation of development plan under the District Capex budget for the financial year 2023-24.

During the meeting, the DC was briefed on the plans being formulated for the upcoming fiscal year. After evaluating the sector-wise advancement of the proposed projects, the DC strongly urged all departments and executing agencies to incorporate plans on judicious and Rational basis so that these can be completed within a specified time frame and are of paramount importance to the public.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to submit the plan in a time bound manner and ensure the estimation, tendering and allotment at the earliest.

He stressed the indenting departments to regularly monitor the pace of progress and resolve any issues impeding the progress of ongoing projects.

Furthermore, the DC mandated the officers to exert their utmost efforts to achieve maximum and optimal utilization of funds allocated under various schemes.

When deliberating on the plan formulation for the 2023-24 financial year, the DC also instructed the officers to engage all Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) in identifying all priority works to be undertaken in the upcoming fiscal year.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal, Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal, Executive Engineer PwD Rabinder Singh, Chief Medical Officer Dr. M. Y. Mir, Chief Education Officer Kishtwar Prehlad Bhagat besides other concerned officers
