DC Kishtwar reviews Power Projects Catchment Area Development Plan
KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan chaired a meeting to discuss the Catchment Area Development Plan for the ongoing power projects in the district.

The meeting focused on evaluating aspects related to the development and implementation of the Catchment Area Plan for by power project authorities, including the crucial environmental conservation plan.
The Heads of Projects (HOPs) provided detailed briefings on different key aspects the plan including the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) Plan for displaced people, Public Health Engineering Plan, Compensatory Afforestation Plan, Biodiversity Management Plan, Fisheries Management Plan and others.
The DC emphasized on ensuring the sustainability of these projects while prioritizing the welfare of the local population and the preservation of the environment.
In this regard, he directed the authorities to focus on the timely implementation, ensuring that the power projects contribute positively to the development of Kishtwar.
Additionally, the DC asked all Heads of Projects (HOPs) to share a detailed plan for both financial and physical expenditures for the upcoming financial year. This would ensure transparency, proper tracking, and accountability in the execution of these critical infrastructure projects.
The DC also directed project authorities to place special emphasis on Skill Development Plans for the youth of Kishtwar, the Healthcare System, and the Environment Conservation Plan. He further directed the Power Projects Authorities for putting the details of work done under civil component in Public Domain.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal, DFO Marwah, DFO Doda and the Heads of Projects (HOPs) for various power projects, including Pakkal Dul HEP, Rattle HEP, among others.
