DC Kishtwar reviews working of Revenue department
KISHTWAR, JANUARY 09: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today presided over a significant review meeting here in the Conference Hall, focusing on a wide spectrum of revenue-related matters.
The meeting witnessed an in-depth discussion and the DC issued a host of directives to the concerned Revenue Officers and Field Functionaries regarding crucial issues.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised on comprehensive public outreach. He directed Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and Patwaris to conduct field visits, verify land passbooks by both the public/landowners and urged timely redress of objections, if any.
Moreover, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of expeditiously resolving revenue data backlogs and highlighted the imperativeness of upgrading record rooms while ensuring their safety provisions.
The discussion also encompassed the critical topics such as land use alterations, eviction of encroachments on state land, enhancement of revenue services, establishment of IT Cells at district, sub-division, and tehsil headquarters, acceleration of mutation attestations, and addressing revenue grievances promptly.
Dr Devansh Yadav also reviewed the progress of land record digitization, scanning, and the reconstruction of damaged records across different areas, underlining the importance of this ongoing digitization process.
Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Yadav issued essential directives to the ACR Kishtwar and revenue officers regarding the handling/Creation of Mussavis.
The meeting witnessed the participation of esteemed officials including ADC Kishtwar Inderjeet Singh Parihar, ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak, SDM Chatroo Shokat Hayat Mattoo, Tehsildar HQ Chander Shekhar Sharma, Tehsildars, Patwaris, and other concerned stakeholders.
